1. Buy locally. Support your local dealer. He can help you with getting the proper size, which is important both for safety and for comfort.2. Don’t you think you need a full-face helmet with integral visor to prevent freezing your face?3. Buy based on quality, not low price. Your brain deserves better.4. Snowmobiling-specific helmets are designed to help prevent fogging–an important consideration.

This a simple repair. Take out your spark plug and you will find it is clogged with debris from slow running or too long on idle. Change the plug.XX

The cops would come if they could. In a blizzard though you can get lsot a few feet from your vehicle or house. You are better off to make sure you carry an emergency kit and sleeping bags. Even a candle will help keep a car warm. When you run the car, if you can, make sure you have enough ventilation, roll down a window a little. If it is an emergency situation like the birth of a baby then they may try to reach you by snowmobile. They will not risk the life of themselves or others if the blizzards conditions are bad enough. If you do have a cell phone at least you could find out what to do from professionals. I was born and grew up in Minnesota, when in the Coast Guard I spent 2 years in Antarctica, I know something about storms. Always prepare ahead for the emergency that could happen.

No such thing as a 4 cylinder 2 stroke snowmobile engine, largest you could get was a triple. That being said, look at anywhere between 70-85 horsepower. You’re going to want a fan cooled engine, as you’ll need a system with a Rad for a liquid cooled engine.

Assuming that the sleds are fairly new, You’ll want it to be at least 8′ wide X 10′ long. In most states, 8.5′ is the widest allowed by law.

Try eBay.com and make sure you get the right engine by putting the year and the model of your snowmobile. good luck.

There is a difference. You can get TC-3 or TCw-3. The w is for water cooled. The difference is due to the temp that the engines run. There are multi use oils from pennsoil and others that are blended for both uses. It is not worth it to skimp on the oil. Use the best and mix it per the engine manufactor’s instructions. People will tell you to use more or use less or use this or that but the fact is engine manufactors spend a lot of time and money researching what is the best for their product.

with either the vapors are thinner than gas so they were pulled into the motor easier than tha gas is it sounds like you need a good carb cleaning at least possibly a rebuild even

You can probably order one from the nearest Arctic Cat dealer in your area. Arctic Cat does not sell anything on-line, you must use an authorized dealer. You can, however, download an illustrated parts list from the Arctic Cat website. Your Snowmobiles official model number is 98ZRG on their website.

carb probably needs to be cleaned

Two-stroke engines do not have intake valves like the four stroke engines in your car. Therefore, many two-stroke engines use reed valves to control the intake of the air/fuel mixture. Selecting a set of reeds for an engine is important for optimizing the performance of that engine. A silencer is basically a muffler that can change the performace and sound of the snowmobile. RMK Stands for rocky mountain king. It’s for snowmobiling in deep powder. If that’s the type of riding that your plan on doing, then it’s probably a good sled for you. Just make sure you look at it for any damage from hitting objects that were hidden under the snow. As fas as best makes and models, everyone has their own opinion. Just like for cars and trucks. Some just suit some people better than others.

Unless you gave him a written warranty (and you say it was sold as is, so that would not apply) he has no claim against you. You sold him the snowmobile as is, and he now has to pay for any and all repairs. Tell him to enjoy HIS snowmobile. You owe him nothing. If he paid you by check, and you have not yet deposited it, take it to his bank first thing in the morning and get cash. If he stopped payment on the check, have him arrested for theft. Do not pay for any repairs, tell him that the deal is over.

does it have a pump or is it down draft like most small motors? the most coomon problem with most of them is the passages inside the carb get plugged and the fuel cannot be sucked up with the compression. I can tell you from experiance my lawn mower had sat several months and water had gotten into the carb specificly the bottom bowl and it took some good cleaning but she runs like a bat out of —- now.

Does the helmet have a DOT and SNELL rating sticker on it? (It should, the HJC site says it is rated as such.) Should be perfectly safe for street riding. You might be avble to change the visor to a regular street visor. Ask on the HJC website.
